“AAA has saved the day more than once at our lakehouse! Our AC tends to "act up" right before we are planning on having a houseful of guests, but AAA has always gotten us back up and running. We have been able to reach them at all hours and on the weekends. When our 2 units were beyond repair, we had AAA install new units and have been very happy with their workmanship.”
“My 4-ton unit would not cool below 78 degrees and was running all day. Had 2 separate technicians from another local company check out the system and they said the system was working properly but the 100+ degree temperatures were causing the unit to not cool adequately. Called AAA Air Control on 9/5/2023 and spoke to Darlene, she scheduled their technician (Paul) to come out the same day. Paul discovered that the TXV was bad which has probably harmed the Compressor (both parts covered by warranty). They ordered the parts and installed on 9/13/2023. Paul also added an in-line dryer that was missing from the original installation. The system is now cooling as it should. I highly recommend AAA Air Control due to their expertise, honesty, and attention to detail.”

The company that we use for maintenance was not able to even come look at it until that next Tuesday. The temperature outside was over 100 and unbearable. John found the problem within a few minutes. “being 64 yrs old and a builder, I can honestly say that in all my years dealing with air conditioning contractors this family is in the top 2, the other top AC guy I know is in Galveston. They always showed up on time, gave competitive quotes, and knew the carrier product well. They replaced 3 units that were 16 years old. I went from 16 to 18 seer carrier units, quieter units, and the heat pumps feel like gas heat, warm! “I had a 14 yr old Carrier Heat Pump system that had failed twice in the last 2 months. “As you know it is very hard to find trustworthy companies in the HVAC business. I had an unexpected A/C issue at our lake house when we let guests use it one weekend. Compressor was blowing hot air. I had tried other HVAC companies in the area for other issues in the past but was not impressed with their service or they flat misled me on the issue at the time. Thought I would try AAA and glad I did. I called on a Saturday morning and John was at the house within an hour. He fixed the problem and called me since I was not there to explain the problem and solution. He very easily could have taken advantage of the situation but did not. They are Carrier authorized and NATE trained (yes, it matters). I interviewed a lot of people/companies before I selected Ray and John. I'm an educated and EPA certified tech myself but my A/C days are long behind me, so I can quickly tell who the idiots are. Anyone who wouldn't do a better job than me was quickly dismissed. Many companies just hire what I call "A/C install day laborers" to do the hot attic work with questionable quality, to put it generously. This father and son team sweats it out themselves to make sure it is done right. Their prices are very fair. And they are nice and friendly guys as well. Would use them again for sure.”

Called AAA from the phone book advertisement. Totally awesome response. Within a couple of hours Ray was here, replaced the capacitor that went out, put some freon in my unit, and I am good to go.

“I was staying with my parents last week in Jonestown when the air conditioner stopped functioning. We had set the thermostat for 74 but the temperature had risen to 82; air was blowing out of the vents, but it wasn't cool.
My parents had just replaced a major part in their AC unit in May and paid over $1000, so they were dismayed to find that something else could be wrong. It was around midnight, and we were all panicked, thinking we would have to sleep in 90+ degree temperatures inside the house, until a repair could be performed in the morning. They called their usual local repair company, hoping to leave a message, but the recording mentioned that the folks at that company were on vacation. We called both numbers that the recording suggested, with no success. Now we were really in a panic.
My father opened the yellow pages in the phone book, and we found a list of repair companies that specialized in the specific Trane brand of AC units. I called the first company and left a message, then called the second company, which is AAA Air Control. To my surprise, a person answered, despite the lateness of the hour! Ray Hawkins to the rescue! He asked a few questions, and then said he and his son would be on the way from Marble Falls and arrive within the hour. We were so relieved. Within 45 minutes they arrived, identified the issue as a blown capacitor, and said they had the new part on their truck! They were able to replace it quickly, and within a couple hours the house was cooling back down into the 70s. The total cost of repair was approximately $300, a fair price for their coming out in the middle of the night.
Because of Ray's responsiveness and willingness to service our AC at any hour, we were able to sleep soundly and begin our morning the next day, at our best! We will always be grateful for this quick and easy repair!”

We live out in the country, with family members ranging in age from 8-85, so it was important that our air con be in working order and that night the heat was unbearable. “Our compressor went out on Friday start of the holiday weekend. Contacted Ray with AAA Air Control and the next day Ray came out to look at the system. That day Ray was able to get me a new compressor unit and installed it the same day. I contacted four other AC repair company's and since it was a holiday weekend I would have to wait until Tuesday before someone came out to look at the system. That would of been five days without AC…. I want to thank Ray and his son for helping us out in this hot and holiday weekend. The service was over and above. I will be using them for all my AC needs and spread the word. Thank you again!”

“Appreciated AAA’s quick response but their troubleshooting didn’t properly identify the issue and we had the same problem within hours of the technician leaving. Unfortunately they would not answer our calls at that point, so we had to call another company. This cost us 8 times as much what we paid them originally as well as inconvenienced our guests significantly. When AAA did return our call the next morning, they were not open to the fact that they may have made a mistake despite telling them that what was ultimately found and fixed explained exactly what happened when they were on site. Do not recommend using them.”
